V5.00.128
Bug Fixes
1 Importing a match from Play-Cricket which was won by Run Rate or Duckworth Lewis could result in a Run Time Error 5.
V5.00.126
Improvements
1 The check for a new version of the program has been restored following changes to the clubcricketsoftware.co.uk domain.
2 Changes Play-Cricket made to their system at the start of 2018 prevented the selection of different date ranges in the Quick Search lists when accessing Play-Cricket via Cricket Statistics for Windows.

Unfortunately, the solution to this problem has resulted in Script Error warnings being displayed when accessing some pages on Play-Cricket.

However, clicking the Yes button when the warnings ask if you want to continue running scripts will allow you to carry on and import matches as before.
Bug Fixes
1 Players' data was sometimes not imported correctly from partially completed MyCricket scorecards.
2 Assisted run outs, stumpings and byes were not imported correctly from MyCricket scorecard fielding summaries.
3 Warnings that Access was restricted to the Play-Cricket and MyCricket web sites were sometimes displayed when accessing pages on MyCricket.
4 The Highlights report did not show matches with the lowest aggregate scores.
V5.00.124

Note: Version 11 (or later) of Internet Explorer needs to be installed on your system if you want to import matches from the Play-Cricket web site wholly from within Cricket Statistics for Windows. It is still possible to import matches from the Play-Cricket web site if an earlier version of Internet Explorer is installed but the procedure is a little more involved.
2 When importing matches from MyCricket, a warning is now displayed and the number of wickets lost in the innings is set to (the number of players allowed to bat minus 1) if the innings is shown as all out but the scorecard does not include details of the batsmen out or absent.

Improvements

2 Multiple entries in the same category of a historic text data file resulted in none of the data in the file being processed in Highlights reports if the data in the file started on the line immediately following the heading lines (i.e. there was no blank line between the heading lines and the first line of data).
3 When selecting a database from the list of databases on the various Statistics dialogues, the club name portion of report heading was automatically capitalised even if the club name of the selected database had not been capitalised.
4 Minor errors in the on-line help have been corrected.
V5.00.22

2 The prompts shown on the status bar when creating a new database and asked if you want to copy/import players' details from an existing database or text file, when asked if you want to import fixtures from a text file and when asked if you want to save the new database were only displayed for a short time before disappearing.
3 The prompt shown on the status bar when asked if you want to save the modified database after changing the club name, year, season or number of innings via Edit - Club/Year/Season was only displayed for a short time before disappearing.
V5.00.20

1 When creating a new database, fixtures can now be imported from a (suitably formatted) text file.
2 Individual matches can now be exported to .CSM files which can then be transferred to another Cricket Statistics for Windows user in your club or to a League Results Secretary using the League/Association Manager.
3 When attempting to import a match which already exists in the database, you are now given the option of replacing the existing match.
Bug Fixes
1 Previewing then exporting a report resulted in an 'hourglass' mouse pointer when returning to the report preview screen.
2 If the wickets lost by the 'home' side was set to 0 or left blank, setting the 'home' side's innings conclusion to "All Out" resulted in a Run Time Error 341.
3 Clearing the 'home' or opposition score then moving to their innings conclusion drop-down list sometimes resulted in a Run Time Error 380.
4 Editing matches in a 1 innings database after editing matches in a 2 innings database caused the labels for the total league points fields for the matches in the 1 innings databases to flash, indicating (incorrectly) that they were not equal to the sum of the match, batting, bowling and penalty points.
V5.00.18
Improvements
1 Check boxes and option buttons are now highlighted correctly even when XP Styles are switched on and the 'Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key' display option is selected in the Windows Control Panel.

2 The XP Styles menu option is now only displayed under Windows XP.
3 A warning that check boxes and option buttons will not be highlighted correctly is now displayed when starting Cricket Statistics for Windows with XP Styles switched on or when switching XP Styles on via the Options menu if the 'Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key' display option is selected in the Windows Control Panel.
Bug Fixes
1 Previewing Personal Review (without the Season Totals Only option selected) reports or Match Review reports with the report orientation set to landscape and then printing multiple copies of the reports resulted in the second and subsequent copies being printed in portrait.
2 Switching to the Batting page of the Match Details dialogue for the 2nd innings of a 2 innings match sometimes showed different players' names to the 1st innings.
V5.00.14
Bug Fixes
1 Switching to the Partnerships page of the Match Details dialogue for the 2nd innings of a 2 innings match sometimes showed the fall of wickets, outgoing batsmen and retirement details for the 1st innings.
2 Attempting to compile statistics reports for historic data files with file names longer than 8 characters (excluding the .TXT or .CSV extension) resulted in a warning that the files could not be found.
V5.00.12
Improvements
1 Up to 6 runs can now be selected for runs for wides and runs for no balls on the File - New Database, Edit - Club/Year Season and Match Details dialogues (to cater for indoor cricket).

V5.00.10
Bug Fixes
1 Changes to the Enter Acts As Extra Tab Key option on the Data Entry page of the Options - User Preferences dialogue were not saved.

Bug Fixes
1 Selecting a different sort mode for the database list when adding/editing macro reports had no effect.
2 A warning that the names of players involved in the fall of wickets and/or retirements had not been entered was sometimes displayed when clicking the OK button on the Match Details dialogue.
3 Printing/displaying/exporting statistics reports with qualification criteria specified, the Non-Qualifiers set to 'Excluded' and the Name or Other column widths set to 'Optimized' resulted in the name, opposition, ground etc. columns being too narrow to accommodate all the text.
V5.00.06
Improvements
1 A button which opens the Statistics - Macros dialogue has been added to the toolbar.
2 When editing or running a macro that was created in an earlier version of the program, a warning is given that the report fields that can be included in the report(s) may be different in the current version.
Bug Fixes
1 Players' wicket keeping details were not always saved when switching from the Fielding page of the Match Details dialogue.

Bug Fixes
1 Increasing the number of players per side on the Match Details dialogue caused a Run Time Error 9.
2 When the sort mode for the Match List dialogue was set to teams, the list was sorted according to the team indices rather than the team names.
3 With XP Styles selected, it may not be clear when check boxes and option buttons receive the focus - this appears to be due to an incompatibility with certain display adapters and the only solution is to turn XP Styles off.
4 On systems running Windows XP with SP2 (Service Pack 2), the CSFW.DOC file (or the CSFW.WRI file in earlier versions) could not be opened in WordPad.
5 With overwrite mode selected, pasting text into text boxes did not completely overwrite the original text if that contained more characters than the text being pasted.
6 Out of Memory errors sometimes occurred on a heavily loaded system when switching between pages of the Match Details dialogue.
V5.00.02
Improvements

9 Brackets can now be included in database club names, opposition names and ground names.
Bug Fixes
1 Clicking the Notes button on the New Database and Edit Club/Year/Season dialogues did not display the notes field.
2 Turning on Caps Lock did not override the automatic capitalisation of text fields unless the Caps Lock key was pressed before displaying any dialogues.
3 The batting order for fielding and bowling substitutes was set to "0" rather than "S" when converting databases that were created with V4.00.42 (or earlier) of Cricket Statistics for Windows or V1.00.42 (or earlier) of the League/Association Manager.
4 Previewing a Match Review or Personal Review report covering multiple seasons and exporting the report for one of the seasons then, when returned to the preview screen, clicking the Previous or Next buttons did not display the report for the chosen season.
5 Pressing the <Tab> key on the Players page of the Match Details dialogue when the focus was on one of the captain check boxes did not move the focus onto the corresponding wicket keeper check box.
6 Entering the name of a player who was not in the current database on the Players page of the Match Details dialogue and then clicking the No button when asked if you want to add them to the database resulted in an endless loop of two error messages when moving from the player's initials field.
V5.00.00

1 The database format has changed - databases now use a single file with the .AV file extension, the database conversion utility (CSFWCONV.EXE) supplied in this package will convert databases created with all previous versions of the program to the new format.

*** IMPORTANT ***

Bug Fixes
1 Databases in the same directory/folder as the Cricket Statistics for Windows program were not listed (until changing to another directory/folder and then changing back) on the File - Open Database, File - Save Database As etc. dialogues or the various statistics dialogues if the last used database was on a floppy disk and the disk had been removed.
2 The (1 Inns)/(2 Inns) field was not shown for 1999/2000 season databases in the database lists on the File - Open Database, File - Save Database As and Copy Players' Details dialogues.
3 Deleting a player when forenames had been entered for one or more players resulted in the list of players on the Player List dialogue 'growing' in width.
4 Clearing a player's previously entered fantasy value, batting rating or bowling rating on the Player Details dialogue did not clear the stored values.
5 Pressing <Shift><F1> and then selecting Edit - Matches displayed help for Edit - Players.
6 It was possible to add a duplicate match if no team was selected (i.e. the team field was left blank) for the second match.
7 The 2nd innings tab remained disabled when switching to the Scores & Result page of the Match Details dialogue if the 1st innings home or opposition innings conclusion fields were set to 'forfeit'.
8 The match result validation checks did not report an invalid result if the winning/losing margin was 'won/lost by XX wkts' or 'won/lost by XX wkts on 1st inns' and the innings conclusion field of the winning side had been set to 'All Out'.
9 Run Time Error 5 if no home score had been entered but individual batsmen's scores had been entered and the No button was clicked when warned of the inconsistency between the total number of home wickets lost and the number of batsmen out.
10 Run Time Error 5 if no opposition score had been entered but individual bowlers' figures had been entered and the No button was clicked when warned of the inconsistency between the total number of opposition wickets lost and the number of wickets taken by the bowlers/fielders.
11 Run Time Error 5 if no opposition score had been entered but individual fielding details had been entered and the No button was clicked when warned that the total number of opposition wickets lost is less the number of catches/stumpings/run outs by the fielders.
12 The scores at which retiring batsmen returned could be lost or corrupted when switching between innings of a two innings match on the Match Details dialogue.
13 Run Time Error 5 when right-clicking on the drop-down list of players' names on the Batting page of the Match Details dialogue.
14 Valid bowling figures (e.g. 1 over, 1 maiden, 0 runs, 0 wkts, 1 wide, 1 no ball) in a match in which the wides & no balls debited to bowlers option was unchecked were reported as invalid when saving/printing/previewing the match.
15 When entering the bowling figures for a match in which the wides & no balls debited to bowlers option was checked, it was not possible to move from the runs conceded field for a bowler to the overs, wickets or maidens field for that bowler if the number of runs conceded by that bowler due to wides and no balls exceeded the total runs conceded by that bowler.
16 When importing matches from .CSF files, if the club name for the Cricket Statistics for Windows database ended in "Cricket Club" or "C.C." or "C. C." or "C C" and the name of the home club in the .CSF file did not include the same suffix, the home club was incorrectly identified as the opposition and consequently the wrong club's scores, partnership and players' details were imported.
17 If there was a substitute player in a 2 innings match, the "S" (for substitute) in their bat no field was shown as "256" in the printed/previewed scorecard.
18 No sound accompanied certain warnings in the Match Details dialogue.
19 The automatic capitalisation of the club name portion of the heading for the various statistics reports could not be overridden.
20 Certain opposition names (e.g. M C C) were truncated in printed/previewed reports.
21 Attempting to compile stats reports for database(s) in a directory when that directory contained an historic data text file which was open in another application resulted in a warning that the historic data file could not be loaded because it was locked.
22 If a start date or end date is set for a statistics report, the heading now reads the report heading now reads "From 18-July-1999" and "To 18-July-1999" respectively and not "Before 18-July-1999" and "After 18-July- 1999".
23 An "Insufficient Room For All The Special Events" warning could occur when printing/previewing a Highlights report even if the special events field was not selected.
24 "Match Review" was not shown in the heading of printed Match Review reports.
25 Incorrect players were shown in Record Partnerships reports if a player retired (not out) and the scores/outgoing batsmen for the fall of subsequent wickets were not entered.
26 Setting the fantasy points awarded for certain events to large values (e.g. 100 points for each wicket) could result in a Run Time Error 6 when compiling Fantasy Ratings reports for multiple databases.
27 A pair of brackets "()" were shown in the forename column of printed/previewed Fantasy Cricket Ratings reports for players with no forenames defined.
28 The player's surname and forenames fields on the Statistics - Personal Review dialogue could appear right- justified under certain versions of Windows.
29 Years were listed in printed/previewed Personal Review reports (with the season totals only option selected) even if the player did not play in those years but had played previously.
30 The year was not shown in printed/previewed Personal Review reports (with the season totals only option selected) covering multiple seasons if the player only played in one of the years covered by the report.
31 Personal Review reports in macros for players with forenames specified were not printed.
32 Adding a Personal Review report to a macro and pressing the <Enter> key immediately after typing the player's name resulted in the report being shown minus the player's name in the list of reports for the macro.
33 Bowling figures (e.g. 1-2) in exported reports were incorrectly displayed as dates (e.g. 1-Feb) in Excel.
34 Run Time Error 14 when exporting VERY large reports.
35 Run Time Error 14 and the program crashed when copying VERY large reports to the clipboard - the program no longer crashes but a full solution is not possible until Cricket Statistics for Windows becomes a 32-bit program.
36 Long years (e.g. 1900/1-1999/2000) in historic data files were not interpreted correctly.
37 Scrolling previewed reports very fast horizontally could cause the displayed report to 'creep' and, in exceptional cases, could cause the program to crash with a Run Time Error 30010.
38 The landscape orientation option on the Player Database dialogue was still shown as available when landscape printing had been disabled via Options - Printer Fonts.
39 Text entered on certain dialogues when automatic capitalisation was disabled was subsequently automatically capitalised when returning to those dialogues.
40 The 'type-ahead' facility did not recognise non-alpha-numeric characters (e.g. - ' , . etc.) in fields.
41 The prompt on the status bar was not updated if a problem occurred while saving a database or exporting a report.
42 Closing down Cricket Statistics for Windows when the main window was maximised then reducing the screen resolution to 640x480 could result in a Run Time error 384 when the program was re-started.
43 Running the Fantasy League Manager or Willow Scorebook from the Cricket Statistics for Windows File menu resulted in an error message if the path to the programs contained a <space> character (e.g. C:\PROGRAM FILES\WSB).
44 An error was sometimes reported when running the Database Conversion Utility, the Fantasy League Manager or Willow Scorebook programs from the Cricket Statistics for Windows File menu.
45 The names of the Program Manager/Start Menu group and program icon in the FAQ section of the on-line help were incorrect.
46 Run Time error 53 in the Database Conversion Utility when using the Zip Folders or Zip Magic programs to compress files.
47 The player membership types, match types, venues, results and opposition scores in BBC databases (i.e. databases created with the program that was the predecessor to Cricket Statistics for Windows) were not correctly converted by the Database Conversion Utility.
48 An explanatory message, rather than "Error 65536", is now given if there is a problem locating or reading a source file during installation and possible solutions are suggested.
