Updating from earlier versions

V2.00.xx of the League/Association Manager uses a new data file format and you will need to convert any league files created with V1.00.42 (or earlier) of the program before they can be accessed by the new version. This is a simple process using the V2.0x League Converter supplied with the new version - please see the on-line help in the League/Association Manager for more information.

V2.00.100
Bug Fixes
1 Importing a match from Play-Cricket which was won by Run Rate or Duckworth Lewis could result in a Run Time Error 5.
V2.00.98
Improvements
1 The check for a new version of the program has been restored following changes to the clubcricketsoftware.co.uk domain.
2 Changes Play-Cricket made to their system at the start of 2018 prevented the selection of different date ranges in the Quick Search lists when accessing Play-Cricket via League/Association Manager.

Unfortunately, the solution to this problem has resulted in Script Error warnings being displayed when accessing some pages on Play-Cricket.

However, clicking the Yes button when the warnings ask if you want to continue running scripts will allow you to carry on and import matches as before.
Bug Fixes
1 Players' data was sometimes not imported correctly from partially completed MyCricket scorecards.
2 Assisted run outs, stumpings and byes were not imported correctly from MyCricket scorecard fielding summaries.
3 Warnings that Access was restricted to the Play-Cricket and MyCricket web sites were sometimes displayed when accessing pages on MyCricket.
V2.00.96
Bug Fixes
1 Importing a match from Play-Cricket which was won by a side whose name contained "run" or "wicket" resulted in a Run Time Error 5.
V2.00.94
Improvements
1 Support is now provided for importing matches from the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site following the 2nd March update to their system.

Note: Version 11 (or later) of Internet Explorer needs to be installed on your system if you want to import matches from the Play-Cricket web site wholly from within League/Association Manager. It is still possible to import matches from the Play-Cricket web site if an earlier version of Internet Explorer is installed but the procedure is a little more involved.
2 Support is now provided for importing match details from the MyCricket site.
3 The # (hash) character is now allowed in ground names.
4 The Total league points labels on the Match Details dialogues now do not 'flash' (i.e. switch between bold and normal text) if the Total points do not equal the sum of the Match, Batting, Bowling and Penalty points unless the Detailed League Points option is selected in Options - User Preferences.
Bug Fixes
1 Players' names were not imported correctly from XML files produced by Total Cricket Scorer if their Middle Names field contained initials rather than their full forename(s).
2 Some results were not displayed correctly in previewed match scorecards.
V2.00.92
Improvements
1 Minor changes/corrections to the on-line Help.
Bug Fixes

3 Clicking some links (e.g. links to players or opposition sites) on the Results pages and scorecards on the current Play-Cricket site had no effect.
4 Warning messages were displayed when accessing pages on the current Play-Cricket site which contained links to some external sites (e.g. the CricHQ site).
V2.00.90
Improvements
1 Support is now provided for importing match details from the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site following the 5th August update to their system.
2 Several minor changes to the routines for importing match details from the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site.
V2.00.88
Bug Fixes
1 The action on winning the toss was sometimes not imported correctly from scorecards on both the current and original archived Play-Cricket sites.
V2.00.86 (Beta Test Release)
Improvements
1 Support is now provided for importing match details from current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site following the Release 2 update to the system in December 2014.

Note: information was still missing or incorrect in scorecards on the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site when this version of the League/Association Manager was released but the program displays a warning if it detects this when importing a match.
2 XML files produced by Total Cricket Scorer show innings that were forfeited and innings that were declared without a ball bowled in exactly the same way and, if the League/Association Manager detects such a situation when importing a match, it now displays a message asking if the innings was forfeited.
V2.00.84
Improvements
1 Support is now provided for importing match details from the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site following the changes to their system on 15th May 2014.

Note: There will be a further League/Association Manager update which will allow match details to be imported from the displayed scorecards, rather than the print-format scorecards, on the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site.
2 If the current database can not be saved (e.g. if the database file is read-only) when closing the program, the program will now remain open, giving the opportunity to rectify the problem.
V2.00.82
Improvements
1 Which player kept wicket is now imported from .XML files produced by Version 7 of Total Cricket Scorer.
2 The Import button is now enabled when viewing a valid match on the original archived Play-Cricket site if the match had been entered via the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site.

4 Improved navigation between pages when accessing Play-Cricket.
5 Loading the initial Play-Cricket page can now be aborted by clicking the Cancel button if, for example the page is taking a long time to load.
6 Byes, leg byes, wides, no balls and penalty runs shown as "0" in Play-Cricket scorecards are now ignored when the match is imported.

2 Penalty runs from a previous innings were not imported correctly from Play-Cricket or .XML files produced by Total Cricket Scorer.

Note: at the time of V2.00.78's release, this data was not available on the current (i.e. updated) Play-Cricket site.
3 Players were not imported correctly from XML files produced by Total Cricket Scorer if the order they were entered into Total Cricket Scorer did not correspond to the order in which they batted.
4 Partnership details for innings which had been declared were not imported correctly from XML files produced by Total Cricket Scorer.

Bug Fixes
1 A bug in versions prior to V2.00.64 resulted in the match start times not being saved correctly in the associated club/team databases - if the program detects an inconsistency in the start times when attempting to edit or delete a match, it now offers to check the start times of ALL the matches in the current league and correct any inconsistencies it finds.

Bug Fixes
1 Replacing an existing match with one imported from a .CSF file or a .CSM file resulted in the imported match details being copied to a second match.

If you find this has occurred, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DELETE OR EDIT THE DUPLICATED MATCHES but send copies of the affected league data file(s) and database(s) to support@clubcricketsoftware.co.uk for repair.
2 Attempting to save a league without specifying a file name or with an invalid file name resulted in a Run Time Error 13.

3 The source and destination league data file lists on the League Converter have been widened.
Bug Fixes
1 The prompts shown on the status bar when creating a new league and asked if you want to copy the club/team and ground details from an existing league and when asked if you want to save the new league were only displayed for a short time before disappearing.

1 Previewing then exporting a report resulted in an 'hourglass' mouse pointer when returning to the report preview screen.
2 Creating a new league and accepting the options to copy the clubs/teams and grounds from an existing league and create new databases for the clubs/teams in the new league resulted in the new database files being saved with invalid file names (e.g. data2006.av.av).
3 Creating a new league and accepting the option to copy the clubs/teams and grounds from an existing league resulted in club/team penalty league points from the existing league being carried over to the new league.
4 If the wickets lost by the home or away club/team were set to 0 or left blank, setting their innings conclusion to "All Out" resulted in a Run Time Error 341.
5 Clearing the home or away club/team score then moving to their innings conclusion drop-down list sometimes resulted in a Run Time Error 380.
